  • $420 for a Little Athletics Centre table of 7 (each LAC centre that books a whole table will receive a FREE coaching session with Paralympians and Olympians. To be organised with LANSW)

GUEST SPEAKER:    Hamish MacDonald OAM - Paralympian

Hamish was an elite seated shot putter and competed at the Paralympic Games in Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012.

Recognition 

  • He received a Medal of the Order of Australia in 1997.

  • In 2000, he received an Australian Sports Medal.

  • He was 1996 Northern Territory Sportsman of the Year.

  • He was named Male Disability Athlete of the Year by the Australian Paralympic Committee in 2003.

  • He was awarded the 1999 Sir Edward 'Weary' Dunlop Award by the Queen's Trust for Young Australians.

  • He was Australian Capital Territory Athletics Most Outstanding Athlete in 2005. He was the first athlete with a disability to win this award.

  • He was the co-captain of the Australian teams at the 1998 IPC Athletics World Championships and the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games.

  • Australian Paralympic Committee board member 2001–2002.

  • He was an Australian flag bearer at the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships opening ceremony.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In addition to the keynote speaker, we will also have a panel discussion with several other young para athletes who have competed in track and field up to Paralympic level. 

All monies raised from ticket sales and the silent auction will go towards our fundraiser to purchase a RaceRunner.

Silent auction will happen on the night! Some of the items up for auction are: signed Usain Bolt shirt; Commonwealth Games singlet & cap signed by Brandon Starc plus more!
